Lesson Polices & Downloads

Liability Waiver -
This liability waiver is required for any and all activities involving our riding and training program. All riders must download/print and fill out this form and return a signed copy to Lydia Bagley at your first lesson.

Cancellation Policy:

Riders who can not come to their designated lesson time must give at least 24 hours notice to cancel. The rider can send an e-mail, text or leave a message on Lydia's cell phone. If a rider cancels or does not come to the lesson without 24 hours notice, the rider will be charged for the missed lesson. (In some cases, such as an emergency or sudden illness, the fee can be waived.)

Student/Family Responsibilities:

     •    Arrive 20 minutes early to prepare for your lesson, plan to stay after to care for your   horse.
     •    Check that you have a Waiver on file for the current year   
     •    Bring Water for yourself and family members  
     •    Non – riders please wear appropriate footwear (boots, tennis shoes) Please no open
          toed sandals or flip flops.  
     •    Do not leave children under 18 unattended (an adult must always be present for a rider  under 18)   
     •    Please follow all barn rules at all times (this is for your safety)

Make-up Lessons

  • Make up lessons are by appointment only
  • Scheduled make-up lessons that are missed will be forfeited.
  • Absence from a lesson requires 24 hours notice.
  • A minimum of 2 make-up lessons may be scheduled per month

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather barn lessons will be conducted. Barn lessons include basic horse care/nutrition, tack checking/cleaning, and horsemanship not covered in your general riding lesson.

Riding Apparel/Equipment

Requirements: Helmet, hard soled – heeled boot, long pants or chaps. (must be provided by each rider)

Equine-Synergy understands riding can be expensive and recommends the following brands and stores to order and/or purchase your supplies.

Helmets: Available locally at Tractor Supply Company, Leading Rein Tack Shop, & Tack Shop of Austin. Troxel helmets estimated cost $30 for basic model. Other brands include International and Aegis.

Boots: We recommend paddock boots available locally at The Leading Rein or the Tack Shop of Austin. If you know your shoe size they are also available online. Prices range from $30 – $90 depending on brand.

Long Pants/Chaps: Riders should always wear long pants to protect the legs from saddle sores and blisters. Longs pants including jeans, dance pants, leggings, and riding breeches are acceptable leg wear. If you are uncomfortable in long pants chaps are available at The Leading Rein and the Tack Shop of Austin.
